Chelsea have completed the free transfer signing of Middlesbrough keeper Ross Turnbull, who signs a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
The 24-year-old ran out of contract at the Riverside this summer having battled it out with Brad Jones to be Boro's number one for much of last season, having had previous loan spells at Darlington, Barnsley, Bradford, Crewe and Cardiff. Turnbull, who made his debut for Boro in May 2006, will now join the FA Cup winners to, along with Portuguese goalkeeper Hilario, act as cover for Blues

Neil Warnock claims Crystal Palace have been approached about the possibility of signing Fulham striker Eddie Johnson. The American frontman spent all of last season on loan at Championship club Cardiff City and looks surplus to requirements at Craven Cottage, with Andy Johnson, Bobby Zamora, Eric Nevland and Diomansy Kamara ahead of him in the pecking order. The 25-year-old is expected to move on in the close season and Palace are now considering making a move for the former Kansas City Wizards player.Warnock told the Croydon Advertiser: "We've had a phone call about him from his agent, but we don't know if we are going to follow it up. It's an option.

Jack Wilshere is the latest Arsenal starlet to sign a new long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium.
The highly-rated 17-year-old, who featured heavily in the club's Carling Cup games last term, has impressed Gunners boss Arsene Wenger in the eight first-team matches he has been involved in, while he is also a big part of the youth and reserve teams. Wilshere made his debut in a 4-0 win at Blackburn last September, when he was just 16, and he scored his first goal for the club in a League Cup win against Sheffield United that same month. The young midfielder's decision to sign a new deal comes a day after Aaron Ramsey committed his future to the club.

Sol Campbell has indicated that he will leave Portsmouth this summer although a Fratton Park extension is among his options.
The 34-year-old is out of contract this summer and with uncertainty still hanging over Pompey, as they await a potential buyout, it looks like the former England man could move on. Campbell is understood to be a target for a number of Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa, and appears set to end his three-year spell at Fratton Park.Speaking to Sky Sports, Campbell revealed: "There's a few options out there. I'm out of contract and I'm going to listen to different offers. I want to make the right choice."In the next two to three years I want to be in the right situation. The chairman, the manager and people like that, I like them to be really close together to move the club on."At the moment with Portsmouth it just seems there are a lot of things in the background. It may resolve itself, I don't know, but for me, as a player, I want to be in the right environment."

The Spanish connection at Liverpool has increased with Rafa Benitez adding Eduardo Parra Garcia and Ivan Ortega to his backroom team.
Garcia will work as a fitness coach, concentrating specifically on rehabilitation work, while Ortega joins the medical team as a sports therapist. The two men, both moving from Celta Vigo, arrive after a host of departures from the backroom in recent weeks, culminating in reserve team boss Gary Ablett and several academy coaches leaving the club.
