Reports claim that Manchester City have joined the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona in the hunt for Cesc Fabregas' signature.

Despite frequently insisting he is happy at Arsenal the Spanish playmaker has been constantly linked with a switch to either big-spending Real Madrid or Barcelona, where Fabregas started his career before moving to north London as a 16-year-old. Spanish daily AS have claimed that City have joined the race for the Arsenal star's signature, after acquiring the services of Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure from the Gunners during the summer. However, Fabregas may resist the advances of City in favour of a switch to Spain, it has been suggested Barcelona is his preferred destination as he rose through the youth ranks at the Catalan club and has previously admitted that boss Josep Guardiola is one of his footballing idols
